Programme Overview
Our Web3, Metaverse & Blockchain programme provides GCSE, A-Level, IB and university students with an early stage insight into this highly exciting and promising industry. Our programme has been carefully crafted and is taught by both leading web3 professionals and highly influential people working on world renowned NFT projects.
By the end of the programme, students will have benefitted from a thorough deepdive into web3, the metaverse and blockchain technology, understanding how they integrate together and the large role they will play in many industries in the future.
Students will receive a detailed introduction of the web3, metaverse and blockchain infrastructure, followed by an examination of the timeline of web1 through to web3. Students will learn about the key ideas underpinning web3, including decentralisation, interoperability, tokenomics, the new dynamics of intellectual property and artificial intelligence. Students will develop an understanding of how web3 will supersede the current web (i.e. web2) when paired with blockchain technology.
High profile case studies on different types of digital collections will be discussed and analysed together with students. Case studies from a range of industries will be analysed, including fashion, film, music and sport to enable students to truly understand what elements digital collections need to have to be successful and why. Students will have the opportunity to apply their new knowledge in groups alongside our professionals through creating their own digital collection, critiquing an existing digital collection, and discussing how to apply web3 and blockchain technologies to a particular brand strategy or industry.
Students will have first hand exposure to intimate networking opportunities with guest speakers and Q&A sessions with established professionals working on world renowned NFT projects, enabling them to gain exclusive insights into the forefront of the industry as well as the future direction of the sector. Advice and guidance will also be provided to students on university and A-Level / IB choices to maximise their career options and for those looking to break into this evolving industry.
